The project was designed in 2008 by the architectural firm Ney Lima. Guests of “Beautiful country house” may be surprised by the scale, but at the same time lightness of the building.
Influenced by the architectural movements of the 60s, the house stands out from the rest of Brazil. The Ney Lima architects have taken on a very ambitious project for modernist architects wishing to meet the desires of their tenants. In order to begin to realize what they had in mind, they first had to get permission from the city. The result is a house that is a prime example of the school of mixing and matching.
The building is located in Lago Sul. The 570 m2 of space takes the form of straight lines, elaborate volumes and modern materials, where the simplicity of all elements is deliberate.
The geometry of the space delimits the black façade at the entrance with successive concrete columns. It is a kind of reference to the works of a famous Latin American architect Oscar Niemeyer. The living room has a large panel copied from an Athos Bulcão commission, one of Ney Lima’s latest designs, made for specific clients.
Modern furniture was used in order to maintain the Art Nouveau style, as well as a method of integrating the space of different rooms. The commonality of the sections is created by the large sliding glass doors.
Another original solution was implemented in the recreational area. The designers covered the surface of the pool with a bright red glass mosaic and white sprinkles. The result is an original drawing, which emphasizes the uniqueness of this house.
Style, color, and modern technology combined with an attractive price make this cottage stand out in the real estate market.
