If the pediment is finished on the old surface, then it is thoroughly cleaned of dirt. All details (platbands, window sills, decorative elements) must be removed. Defective gable surface parts need to be replaced or repaired.

The installation of the lathing is carried out taking into account the framing of the upper part of the pediment and window openings, if any. Fasteners (nails, screws, self-tapping screws) must be resistant to corrosion and ensure the strength of the connection of one part with another with the required clamping depth of fasteners (25-30 mm).
