PARQUET LAYING

Artistic panel parquet is laid on the sub-floor. The sub-floor should be made of dry pine boards with a thickness of at least 40 mm, the moisture content of which should not exceed 10%. The subfloor must be laid strictly according to the level, after reliable fastening, carefully cut and not have sags and nicks. It is recommended to start laying panel parquet from the center of the room. Each panel is fixed to the floor with screws or construction nails 70 mm long. The grooved panels are interconnected by plug-in hardwood spikes. In the gaps between the boards, which have quarters, additional strips are put on the glue.

The humidity of the room in which the parquet is laid should not exceed 60%, and the temperature should not be lower than + 16 ° С and not higher than + 22 “С.

FINISHING PARQUET FLOOR

After laying and fixing the parquet boards, the floor is sanded using parquet grinders (type SO-60). Individual irregularities are scraped before grinding. It is strictly forbidden to plan panel parquet with planing machines! this can lead to chipping and scuffing, and as a result – to irreparable defects of the parquet floor. Grinding is carried out in three or four passes and each subsequent pass is carried out in a perpendicular direction to the previous one.

We use cloth-based abrasive skins in accordance with GOST 5009-68. Sanding begins with a sandpaper of grain size No. 80, and with each subsequent pass, sandpaper of grain size No. 60 and No. 35 is applied. After sanding, the dust remaining on the floor is removed with a vacuum cleaner. On a dry, cleaned floor, varnish is applied with a brush in three layers. The time interval between each varnish application is 24 hours. The floor can be used 2 days after the end of varnishing. It is recommended to use the following varnishes: “Varnish for parquet” (TU 6-15-50-68), pentaphthalic varnish PF-231 (VTU KU 571-64) or other varnishes intended for parquet.

You can rub the artistic panel parquet with wax or wax-like anhydrous mastics.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

In operation (in case of contamination of parquet floors covered with mastics), the floors should be washed with special liquids for cleaning parquet floors. After washing, the floors are rubbed again with anhydrous mastics..

It is forbidden to wash the artistic parquet with gasoline, acetone, white spirit and other caustic solvents! The use of caustic solvents can dissolve the synthetic adhesive and damage the decorative parquet. The lacquer coating of parquet floors is repaired every 3-4 years, depending on the intensity of the lacquer wear. Either the entire surface is repaired, or individual worn out places. It is sanded with an abrasive cloth and, after dust removal, is again varnished. With daily maintenance, varnished or scrubbed floors are well cleaned of dust with a damp cloth, brush or vacuum cleaner. Large amounts of water must not be spilled onto the floor. This can lead to swelling of the wood, swelling of the parquet, and after removal of moisture – to its drying out. The service life of a parquet floor depends primarily on the observance of a constant temperature and humidity conditions of the room throughout the year..

The air humidity in the room must exceed 60%, and the temperature must be kept within + 10 ° + 25 ° C. Careful regular maintenance, timely repair of the lacquer coating lengthen the shelf life of decorative parquet boards, it retains its original appearance for a long time. If all the requirements of this structure are met, the floor from the panelboard artistic parquet made by the Kiverzoz woodworking plant can serve for more than 50 years.
