  1. First, you need to decide exactly where your sink will be. It is clear that there should be communications nearby – drain and water supply.   1. Now we draw a second, inner contour under the ruler, deviating from the outer one or two centimeters – depending on how wide the rim of the sink is;
  2. You need to cut a hole in the tabletop with a jigsaw or a circular saw, very carefully and along the inner contour! If you cut a hole on the outside, the sink will simply fail;

Important! When cutting, you need to make sure that the saw does not cling to the metal parts of the lower cabinets of the kitchen set. If there are confirmations and metal corners – temporarily remove them.

When making a cut, support the bottom of the tabletop with your hand so that it does not break off the remaining section with its weight – it will turn out to be uneven! If necessary, call an assistant who will support the cut-out part of the tabletop from below.

  1. The place of the cut in the countertop must be well treated with a sealant, literally siliconized around the entire perimeter. Otherwise, in this place, the tabletop, unprotected by the laminated layer, will get wet and swell over time;
  2. Now, according to the existing instructions, we put on the retainer on the sink. If the kit does not include a sealant that will protect the countertop under the edge of the sink from moisture, apply silicone sealant again along the entire contour, which will fall into the cut;
  3. We insert the sink into the hole, tighten the fasteners from below, pressing it to the tabletop. Remember to wipe off excess silicone and wait for the sealant to dry before using your sink.

That’s all. As you can see, it’s actually quite simple. And to make it even clearer for you, we will provide video instructions on how to embed a sink into the countertop with your own hands..
