The basic layout of the filters includes a cyclone collector and a main bag placed in series. The inlet channels of the cyclone clarifier should be located so that large particles of debris settle and retain as efficiently as possible. In this regard, the most perfect systems are those in which the supply is made tangentially to the walls of the body with a downward slope, while the suction pipe is located in the center of the dome and is equipped with a flow diffuser.

The main dust bag is designed in the same way as in modern household vacuum cleaners. Its material can be different, fleece and multilayer non-woven fabric retain dust in the best way. Professional equipment has a built-in vacuum sensor that automatically turns on vibration cleaning after the inlet vacuum drops below a set limit.

A construction vacuum cleaner has to work in rather harsh conditions. To ensure the durability of professional equipment, its body is made of metal, while household appliances are mostly made of plastic. Hull shape also matters: no sharp edges and vertical layout reduce the risk of damage from falling debris or tools.
Almost all construction vacuum cleaners have a wheel base. The larger the rollers, the easier it is to move the equipment when there is debris on the floor. Stability is also important: the center of gravity of an empty vacuum cleaner should be in the lower third of the case, so the probability of tipping over will be minimal, which is especially critical for devices with a cyclone filter.
Designers are constantly improving their products to improve the convenience of work. It is optimal if the handle for transportation is located in the upper part of the case, and there are large enough controls on the front panel. For the vacuum cleaner to be automatically activated when the tool is turned on, a power outlet may be provided by the electrical circuit. Also among the most useful functions are the light indication of the filter condition and the signaling of the decrease in air flow below the permissible limit.
