If you, dear visitors to our portal, want to relax from your worries, then you should definitely go out on the weekend and take a breath of fresh forest or mountain air. You don’t have to think about the details, because more and more inns and cabins are being created in natural surroundings. They fit perfectly into the local landscape and allow the modern city dweller to get as close to nature as possible while maintaining their habits of civilized recreation.
Designed for a weekend getaway, located in Wisconsin, USA – a modern version of the mountain room, designed by Johnsen Schmaling Architects. The essential difference between a conventional “cabin” and this one lies primarily in the design. Instead of a classic roof and separate wooden dwelling, here we can see a minimalist room made of concrete, cedar, very appropriate metal and concrete slabs. The clients want something truly economical, but also a private corner inside the forest, where they can enjoy the simple pleasures of life after a tiring week, –such as a walk through the forest, beautiful views, quiet surroundings or magnificent morning sunrises filled with freshness.
“The cabin drowns in light during the day thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and gives you a strange, pleasant feeling of belonging to a place where wildlife rules. Inside, the floor-to-ceiling curtains at the end of the living room can be pushed back or removed altogether, their hilly fabric and subtle structure adding sensuality to the fresh interior palette. Depending on their use, curtains can provide privacy in bedrooms, open them to the main living area, or be used to check if the kitchen is occupied. Tidy, minimalist and relaxing atmosphere of Stacked Cabin becomes a great place to get out of your routine.
