In Victoria, Australia, on the outskirts of Melbourne, stands a small mansion, modern on the inside and classic on the outside. We invite our readers to visit this residence.
Remodeling an old house, it is not easy to reconcile the functionality of the interior with the historical era to which it belonged. So the architects had a challenge, but they succeeded in making the space more open, adding light while retaining the classic lines and materials.

The kitchen is concentrated around a large island, which can now accommodate all the family at the same time. There are virtually no walls, replaced by huge glass walls, giving you a beautiful view of the garden. Even the "apron" in the kitchen is made of glass, and it's undoubtedly the highlight of the interior. It looks as if the white furniture set is placed right outdoors.

The use of marble and wood paneling harks back to the house's historic past, while the luxurious feel of the great space and the comfortable upholstered furniture with a modern TV reminds us of the present. Dark perimeter walls accentuate the depth of the interior.

The hearts on the windows of the cozy bedroom encourage a romantic mood.
