The residence is based on a white brick box containing the main living areas: four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, an open plan living room, dining room, kitchen and patio.

A wooden lattice structure protects the second floor from the salty rays, creating a cool atmosphere, while the floor is tiled for practicality.

The dining table is very unusual: the metal base in the shape of two rectangles is visible through the transparent table top. The chairs have a more prosaic shape against it.

One of the walls is clad in wood. The end of the staircase to the second tier is also bright, painted orange, with brown tile steps. All of this brings the atmosphere of the room to life. Two unusual coffee tables are a real eye-catcher.

In general, the project is colorful, bright, a little eccentric, but at the same time stylish and modern. The large windows that can be put aside like a screen door act as a link between interior and exterior. The roof is fully exploited, creating a second level of the house. This is a spacious, light and functional house.

This architectural marvel, Casa Seta, is truly extraordinary with its unique rooftop pool. However, I’m curious to know what inspired the architect, Martín Dulanto, to design such an unconventional feature. Was it purely for aesthetic purposes or does it serve any functional benefits as well? Additionally, how does the pool affect the overall structure and sustainability of the mansion?

The rooftop pool at Casa Seta is indeed a stunning addition to an already impressive architectural design. Martín Dulanto’s inspiration for this unconventional feature likely stems from a desire to create a unique and luxurious space for residents to relax and enjoy the surrounding views. While the pool may primarily serve an aesthetic purpose, it also offers functional benefits such as cooling the rooftop area and providing a space for recreation.

In terms of its impact on the overall structure and sustainability of the mansion, the rooftop pool may present challenges in terms of weight distribution and waterproofing. However, with proper engineering and design considerations, these issues can be easily addressed. The pool can also contribute to the sustainability of the mansion by acting as a heat sink, helping to regulate temperatures in the building, and potentially serving as a source for rainwater collection or solar heating. Overall, the rooftop pool at Casa Seta is not only a visually striking feature but also a functional and sustainable addition to the architectural marvel.
