Visitors to the Creative Forum should be interested in new ideas from John Wardle Architects. His designers designed the country house with hardwood flooring. This unusual house is located in Tasmania, Australia.
The project sits on the site of an old barn destroyed by fire. Friends and family gather here for the annual tree planting.
According to the architects, the geometry of the building space is quite complex and has a shift at the front of the house due to the internal shape and arrangement of the walls, battens and window frames.
The house uses a rich palette of materials, from corrugated galvanized iron for the exterior to wood for the interior. The space features a large open living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and laundry room, as well as two bedrooms and a hallway. Finished with planks of old apple crates from the late 1960s., Found in the gardens of the valley – a truly unusual solution in modern bedroom interior design.
