Nowadays itās fashionable to rent small villas or private residences on the beach. One of them we will talk about in this article.
This is the home of Casa JoĆa. Located on the picturesque seaside village of Carvoeiro in the Algarve, Portugal.
It was the roofās dramatic view and the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean that gave the owners the idea of turning the former fishermanās hut into a sophisticated private residence. For help in generating ideas for the home, they turned to Studio Arte Architecture& Design and Lusco Fusco Concepts.
The project was developed quickly, and in 2012 the renovated room was already welcoming its first guests. Both the faƧade and the interior have been changed. Builders completely demolished the roof, but kept the traditional walls of the fishermanās village.
The old front door has been replaced with a new door made of white perforated metal. From the street, it looks like a small hidden wicket door. White is also the dominant color in the interior of the former fishing hut. Add touches of red and black to the kitchen design. Interesting elements of the decor, the chandelier above the table, the chairs.
What looks like a small place, it has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. And is designed to accommodate 4 or 5 people at a time. The living room is beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture. It has a patio access through large glass doors.
The limited space made it difficult to translate the architectās concept into reality. Thatās why it was the designerās job to create a sense of spaciousness and space in the Casa JoĆa. Minimum of items in the rooms. Look at the books that seem to be suspended in the air. This effect is created by the simple transparent shelves.
It has all the latest equipment, from a washing machine to satellite television. There is even wireless internet. The decor of the house is original. Only here you will read the motto of an active person on the wall: āIf you can dream it, you can do it.ā. And the following phrase can guide all vacationers: āI never think about the future, itās coming soon enough. Enjoy the allure of nature today.
The main focus of the renovation concept was that the occupants of the cottage would spend a lot of time outdoors, t.. on the roof terrace.
It is spacious, 70 square meters. The whole is bathed in sunlight. It can be accessed by stairs from the living room.
Itās protected from the rain by an electric sunroof.
Comfortable armchairs, chaise lounges, soft cushions, a small pool that can be heated, if required, during the colder months. There is a summer kitchen with a barbecue. The beauty of the surrounding landscape takes your breath away! Ideal place to relax and enjoy the sunset after a day at the beach.
This building can be rented, so you have a chance to live here.
