The living room, for example, combines a modern metropolitan feel with a rustic flair – mesh black and white cushions and a Persian-style rug evoke the West, while the lamp, sofa and French country chair create an image of a classic New York apartment.

Painting over a sofa is an exclusive decorative element
In addition to the huge floor space, the house has high ceilings, so over the sofa Genna Margolis placed a large picture of a ram – the picture cost even less than the frame for it.
In addition to the painting, the designer has placed a cactus beside the sofa. The plant gives a good contrast to the black luminaire on the other side, as if imitating its branches.

The cabinet under the TV is another bargain purchase by the new owners of the apartment
Opposite the sofa hangs a TV. Genna Margolis:
"We wanted to put a new console in here, but we weren't going to spend a large sum on it. I ended up finding this white bamboo and brass finished nightstand – it brings a Hollywood Regency style to the room.".

The dining room, a layout combined with the living room, prompted the designer to purchase a brass-finished bar cart and table from Craigslist. The Pam Beach image, a gift from the designer's former boss, set the color scheme for the chairs. Chandelier in the form of a globe repeats the shape of the bar cart, echoing it. Candlelight sconces add an austere, graphic note without weighing down the overall composition.
