Set in Richmond, Australia, Minim Studios has been given the creative challenge to transform a historic fire station stable into and inviting and cozy home. Through innovative and clever design, the old building has been transformed into two levels of living accommodation, surrounded by lush courtyards and beautiful terraces. The new home features a vibrant interior with an open plan that allows light to flood in and ample storage for all modern needs. Deliberate use of texture and colour also adds to the inviting ambiance. The completed project is an impressive and unique reminder of the history of the building while adding undeniable value to the surrounding area.
Living and dining room gets sunlight through the ceiling windows. Designer fixtures and fittings have also found a place there. Upstairs, the owners’ personal rooms are housed: three bedrooms with baths and showers and a study-hall with a view on the first floor. All the rooms on the second floor have a dark carpet or large tiles. The owners are proud of the gym and the roof terrace with a 360 degree view.
