A rugged cottage of stone and steel on the seashore

Tyree is the westernmost island of the Inner Hebrides archipelago, which is characterized by beautiful nature and a marvelous landscape. Dave and Liz Kerr purchased a charming 167-square-foot cottage in the area after retiring. It had a simple layout that included three bedrooms, a kitchen with dining room, living room and two bathrooms.

The cladding of the front side of the annex was made with galvanized steel sheets and corrugated fiber-cement partitions, which blended harmoniously with the curved profile of the roof.

The upper floor of this structure houses a large functional kitchen, cozy living room and dining room, while the master bedroom and modern bathroom are on the first tier.

The living area sits on a small elevation, while the bedrooms are recessed into the ground and have a beautiful view of the enclosed garden.

The L-shaped glass roof connects the three sections of the property, allowing sunlight to penetrate and fill the room with a dazzling glow. Modern designs in the interior design blend wonderfully with the textured stone walls, giving the cottage an authentic and distinctive look.

Elegant window openings allow the family to enjoy a picturesque view of the sea that is 200 meters away.

Gorgeous wooden steps with a textured moraine surface allow guests to ascend to the dining room.

The guest bedroom on the first floor of the cottage has another original fireplace for the house.

It features a gorgeous geographic location surrounded by sea and valleys, a surprisingly rustic exterior, a comfortable interior with wood and metal accents, and a streamlined layout that draws close attention and public interest.
