This beautiful property is located on the East coast Singapore. The house, with a century-old tree in the center, covers a total area of 8400 m2. Several other trees are also integrated into the design of the house.


Villa Casa Corallo in the province of Santa Rosalía in Guatemala was designed and built literally around greenery. It has trees growing right inside the house – they literally bring nature indoors. Architects decided to integrate these trees into the architectural structures and let them become an integral part of the building. Trees are built into the house, running through it like columns.

This modern home sits on a flat hilltop, partially leaning against a cliff. Numerous trees growing here have been left untouched, they have been preserved and integrated into the structure of the building. The clients wanted as many trees as possible to remain, reminiscent of the times when there was a forest here. The small trees “live” right in the house and the bigger ones –“sprout” through the roof.

The architects and planners wanted to preserve the trees growing on the site, so the house was built around them. That's why it has such an unusual shape. The enclosed space and open space blend very harmoniously here – not least because of the trees!
