Life inside the mountain or triangular compactness: the unusual Montblanc House by Studio Velocity, Japan

The Montblanc House in Japan is an unusual triangular structure designed by Studio Velocity. Its unique design was chosen to enable the building to fit in with the surroundings and take advantage of the siteโ€™s triangular shape. The house is built into the mountainside, creating an explicit connection between the building and its environment, as well as maximizing space efficiency. The building is designed with four different triangular modules, each with its own balcony space to take in the views of the lush mountain forestry. Additionally, the house features a rooftop terrace, providing access to the unique and distant scenery from within the building. Not only is this house aesthetically appealing, it also serves as a reminder of the importance of sustainable design.
