A complete rest for body and soul: a chapel for secluded meditation by BNKR Arquitectura in Mexico

BNKR Arquitectura has designed a modern chapel in Mexico to give visitors a unique opportunity for reflective and nourishing rest. The building's soothing and welcoming interior and exterior are exquisitely complemented with a breathtaking landscape of the nearby mountains that can be fully appreciated from its huge windows and open-air terrace. With its thoughtfully planned layout and respectful atmosphere, the space provides a tranquil sanctuary for meditation, relaxation, and discovery. It is a truly unique and peaceful place to nourish and inspire both mind and soul.
La Estaancia Meditation Chapel

Hereโ€™s whatโ€™s on about the ecumenical chapel and new ideas in designย the architects say: โ€œAfter a tedious journey, it greets you with a beautiful U-shaped glass entrance, then you get to the central plaza. The eye in the metal plate on the ceiling allows us to see our surroundings through the water. Metal spring with a large quartz reflects the eye on the floorโ€.

This unconventional meditation room with a total area of 170 sq. m looks majestic and sophisticated at the same time. What are your thoughts on this project?

The design of the chapel for secluded meditation by BNKR Arquitectura in Mexico was inspired by the surrounding natural landscape and the desire to create a peaceful and contemplative space for visitors. The architects sought to integrate the chapel seamlessly into the environment, using materials like locally sourced stone and wood to blend with the earthy tones of the desert. The minimalist design allows for quiet reflection and spiritual connection, with large windows offering expansive views of the rugged terrain. Overall, the chapel was designed to provide a serene and harmonious setting for meditation and introspection.
