Meanwhile, the installation of doors, the operation is quite simple, and everyone, even a beginner, a skilled person can perform it. You just need to know some professional secrets. If the door is purchased with a frame already hinged on the hinges, the installation operation is simplified. Another thing is when it is necessary to make a box, hang a door, install handles. Consider this option.

Where to begin? We always start with measurements. The door to the frame should be placed with small gaps. We measure the width of the door, add 5mm – this is the inner size of the box in width. Add 10-15mm to the door height. This gap between the door and the floor may be different. It is important that there is enough of it to open the door without hindrance. If you plan to install a box with a threshold, then you must take into account its height. After determining the dimensions, we cut off the necessary blanks. We pay special attention to cutting in the area of ​​the quarters. All cuts are made at an angle of 90 degrees.

With the help of screws, we connect the workpieces, having previously made holes for the screws from one of the connecting parts. We coat the joints before the joints with glue. Checking the dimensions and diagonals. The box is ready. If the box is with a threshold, then you can mark the place for installing the hinges in a horizontal position. To do this, put the box on the stands, and if there are none, directly on the floor. We put the door into it, set the gaps evenly.

It will be easier to set gaps if you prepare wooden inserts of the required thickness.

Now on the box and on the door, mark the location of the hinges. As a rule, the hinge is placed at a distance of 200mm from the bottom and top of the box. If the door is heavy, it is advisable to install three hinges. Moreover, the third loop is shifted closer to the top. It is also necessary to pay attention to the fact that there are left and right hinges. It depends on where the doors will open..

After marking, the door is removed. In the box and on the door, we make a sample for the hinges. It is best to do this with a milling cutter, but if you have the skills, you can also use a chisel. It remains only to put the loops. If done correctly, the door will open and close perfectly.

You can install the box in the opening with or without a door. If installed with a door, the passage will be closed until the foam has completely solidified. If we install the box itself, then it makes sense to unscrew the hinges and hide the fasteners of the box to the wall under them. On the back of the box, we hide the fasteners under the latch or lock striker. You must first prepare wedges and spacers.

We begin the installation of the box by cleaning the doorway from dust and debris. We insert the box into the opening, fasten it with wedges. Insert the wedges in pairs, one on each side. We check the installation by level. The box must be strictly vertical. Check the diagonal again. Having set the box vertically, we fix it to the wall using screws or anchors. It remains only to fill the gap between the box and the wall with polyurethane foam.

As you know, the polyurethane foam tends to expand, so spacers must be placed in the middle of the box. We put spacers at the level of the hinges and the lock so as not to damage the box under them we put small pieces of fiberboard. In this case, the spacer should be smaller in size by the thickness of the applied material. Another trick is to glue the box from the side of the wall with masking tape and if the excess foam comes out, it will leave a mark on the tape, and not on the box.

All that remains is to moisten the wall and blow out the foam. After complete drying, remove the remaining foam with a knife, put the door on, check it for opening and closing. If the handles were not installed, put them on. That’s all. It remains only to put platbands.
