On the East Coast of the United States in New York City. Here is a compact three-story private residence.
We offer our esteemed readers of Forum City to discuss the new technologically advanced Tighthouse. The building is New York’s first certified Passive House (also called Eco House). The mansion was upgraded with eco-materials available for recycling: wood, brick, metal, etc. . Here are some numbers. Statistics show that ecological homes use 90% less thermal energy and 75% less energy overall than average homes.
The building’s exterior walls are insulated to reduce energy waste and the lighting inside is diode and fluorescent. The roof railing is the location of the solar panels which provide electricity and heat to the building. The building is equipped with heat recovery ventilation. It maintains the optimum temperature in the rooms and the most comfortable conditions for the inhabitants of the mansion. Modern interior design and light-colored walls and ceiling create a positive mood. The space is bathed in sunlight. Windows, perforated staircases, and glass balustrades contribute to its permeability to all corners of the home.
Small floor space is visually enlarged thanks to the good interior design. Natural building materials are used in the decoration of the summer terrace, which distinguishes the Tighthouse from the surrounding houses. It’s a retreat for families and picnics. And all – on the roof of a town house! Do you like this project?
The design ideas for the house were suggested by Fabrica 718.
