The house was not built from scratch. The architectural studio got another client who wanted to renovate an existing building on a hillside. The assignment had its challenges and nuances. Due to the winding sewer line under the foundation and the harsh terrain on the site, it was impossible to demolish the old house to its foundations. Had to keep the original foundation design. But the architects have succeeded in – opening up the space and the view of the adjacent sea shore as much as possible. The front of the home has been designed with large window openings that burst in with a sea of light and a fresh breeze.
