As conceived by the architects, the building is built in the shape of a polygon of glass, slightly curved walls framed by a frame of local wood. This design allows maximum natural light to enter. The house is built in two blocks, perfectly integrated into the landscape and in perfect harmony with nature. The clients wanted to build a comfortable and safe dwelling in an area with a relaxing atmosphere, allowing them to dream at any time. Their request was due to the first impression they got of the surrounding seascape.
The design studio incorporated a lot of natural building materials into the structure. One of them – painted cedar siding that perfectly highlights the rustic flavor of the finish. And the light pebbles between the frames of panoramic windows gives the feeling of the constant presence of the sea. The Sunset Point Mansion – is a bright and lively place where people can relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. High ceilings in the living room, natural wood finishes and a neutral color scheme give this room a wonderful, dreamy atmosphere. Here you can find your inspiration while enjoying proximity to the sea over a cup of coffee. A glass fireplace built into the interior partition unifies the bedroom and living room space while providing a high degree of privacy.
– a wonderful place to relax after a tiring day. Everything here is conducive to socializing and relaxing with friends and relatives. And at twilight you can light the garden fireplace. It’s not just warm and cosy next to the house, it’s also light, because the wall of the building facing the sitting area is made completely of glass. Sunny (due to the amber tone of the interior decoration) light from the windows floods the surroundings. With this type of lighting you can avoid the need for additional lights and enjoy the terrace-like view in both summer and winter.
The Sunset Point house designed by David Vandervort Architects seems to embody natural beauty with its lush green surroundings. I am curious to know more about the architectural features that maximize the enjoyment of the sunset view. How does the design seamlessly merge with the natural environment to create a harmonious living space?
