Guests are welcomed by a sumptuous entrance hall with high ceilings and a stunning staircase enclosed by a wrought iron handrail. The area is accentuated by the original lamp with a glass brownish-red lampshade that fills the space with a soft and warm glow. The owners got it at an antique store in Pasadena.
The furnishings look regal. Elegant designer armchairs upholstered in burgundy leather, a plush pouffe and a charming coffee table on curved legs make the room solemn yet relaxing at the same time. Complementing the interior of a gorgeous chandelier-wheel“wheel” reminiscent of the ancient banquet halls.
In another part of the living room, which is brighter and more modern, the owners equipped a relaxing corner where you can watch a movie or listen to music. A huge soft sofa with bright cushions and warm carpets on the floor disposes to relaxation. And the colonial feel is there, thanks to the dark wood coffee table.
Guest bedrooms on third floor in similar style. French doors lead to a balcony overlooking the courtyard.
So we took a walk through an unusual house in Los Angeles. The design is based on a very interesting project, perfectly realized.
The wonderful location in a quiet neighborhood, the striking Spanish Colonial construction, the carefully crafted interior and the truly comfortable atmosphere with just a hint of luxury make this home the perfect home for a cozy family.
This design project looks truly breathtaking, showcasing the beauty of Spanish colonial architecture. I’m curious to know what specific elements or features make this house stand out in terms of its Spanish colonial design? Is there any particular reason why the owner opted for this style?
