House – is a reconstruction of an old manor house owned by an English earl. The new owners wanted to expand the space, and make the homestead as comfortable as possible for family life.
Through the use of lots of glass detailing, this task is maximized. Simple glass staircase, huge windows, and great access to the garden.
Architects completely reimagined the space. Previously dark and cramped quarters have been transformed into a rich, light-filled building. By preserving the historic part and leaving the details of antiquity, they created a unique and ultra-modern image.
The space is designed to emphasize the play of light and shadow. Contrasting combinations of bright colors and huge gaps of light.
The interior of the house is also made of glass. You can’t help but notice how original and interesting the stairs to the second floor of the house are.
The first floor is the living room, study and dining room; upstairs – four large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Each has its own walk-in closet, and a beautiful view of the garden beside the house.
Ceramic tiles were chosen instead of traditional wood floors. Floors are heated throughout the house. Which is very important in the cold season.
