Takuya Tsuchida, director of the architectural firm, talks about his masterpiece:
“The house is located in an upscale residential area. The most important requests of our clients were: a garage for nine vehicles, the most favorite car in the hall, a tall tree in the central area.
As it was difficult to accommodate all the demands, the design team came up with a rather unusual layout.
Garage interior design is unparalleled. This is no ordinary parking lot, but a chic resting place for personal vehicles, equipped with an art gallery, full-wall mirrors. The entire basement area is used for the parking of 9 exclusive cars.
Very often the owner likes to discuss with friends his favorite Lamborghini, which appears on his order near the dining room. When the elevator goes down, it covers the whole traffic pattern.
The different room heights are found throughout the large living space. Some of them resemble random “floating” boxes, suspended or attached to the surface of a reinforced concrete structure.
This unusual play of dimensions creates inviting open spaces. The brushed glass floor structure of the upper floor and the predominance of white in the décor support the overall weightlessness.
Connoisseurs of refined minimalism will undoubtedly enjoy such a twist, reviewed on Beautiful Country Home.

Wow, a car elevator in a house sounds incredible! I’m curious to know how the car elevator works and if it’s a practical feature in terms of daily use. Are there any specific reasons why Studio No.555 Architectural Design Office decided to incorporate this unique feature into the fashionable Kre House in Tokyo?
