Greetings to the visitors of Forum City. Let’s get a little roast in the hot sun in the mountains of Spain by the sea. And let’s take a look at the Home in Playa Espiñeiro that the studio designed Epb42.
It is impossible to build two completely identical houses on mountain slopes. After all, the landscape is unique. Although it is easy to distinguish the style of old buildings from new. Above all, it is the roofs. In the past they tended to make a two-slope roof out of shingles or slate. Now more and more often, flat roofs covered with stone can also be used simultaneously as a recreation area with a good view of the area.
Lots of old houses in Playa Espeneiro. But recently, there have been more and more modern buildings. That’s the original new project we’re going to look at.
A closer look at the courtyard. The area is laid out with an oblong stone honeycomb, allowing the grass to sprout. The rest of the grounds are made as lawn. Only a cactus plant grows lonely against the light gray wall.
The house has large stained-glass windows. Through the living room, you can see the bay and the opposite shore. The door to the house is also transparent. There is a canopy over it, under which there is an area with a table.
The entryway, which we have already seen. It’s wooden, as are the partitions between the windows. There is a table and several chairs of different designs. In spite of the awning it is totally exposed to the sun and you can only rest on it in the morning hours or late at night.
The private life of the inhabitants of the house is hidden from the prying eyes of passers-by. Sleeping rooms face the bay and north. This saves them from the hot sun. The second floor has big windows on the left side, through which we could see the opposite shore. Balcony and roof form additional canopies.
View from the door. Wooden wicket door to yard.
The dining room is separated from the kitchen by a breakfast bar. Additionally, the dining table area is highlighted with a darker flooring. The interior is in techno style. A lot of metal and glass, reflecting and shiny surfaces, geometrically accurate furnishings. Vases and plants on the counter and a rug under the table are additional decorations.
The bathroom is simple and uncluttered. The walls are white. Gray stone slab floor. Glass partitions. All faucets and pipes, including the dryer, in chrome metal. Only the number of rooms is interesting. Washbasins, showers, toilets – only two of each.
