This is a stunning modern country house with a traditionally crafted stone facade. The house is spacious with four big bedrooms and an abundance of natural light streaming through the tall windows. Not to add to the clutter of the magnificent landscape, local stone from Cotswoldstone quarry was used for the façade.

The masonry work mimics old English bricklaying techniques. The south-facing cantilevered terrace offers a breathtaking view and the panoramic windows visually expand the interior space.

An impressive and bright hall divides the building into two wings, one containing the private apartments and the other the – functional and social areas. The original steel staircase is designed so as not to shade the living room.

Master bedroom with walk-in closet and full bathroom opens to a shared balcony; 2 guest rooms are on a lower level. The luxurious pool is equipped with a sliding glass roof.

The life-support systems are as energy-independent as possible, with heat pumps for heating and hot water, and heat recovery keeps losses to a minimum.
