The lakeside house is a superb country cottage for a small married couple, located in the humble town of Messines in the province of Quebec. The mesmerizing interior design was designed and brought to life by architectural studio Anik Péloquin in 2013.
The house is located on a challenging site with incredible Landscaping and rocky hills, surrounded by lush greenery.
The large number of windows on the surface of the structure allows the sunlight to pass freely inside the apartment, filling the atmosphere with a dazzling glow and welcoming warmth.
The design of the structure has an unusual shape with an original window decoration, which emphasizes the uniqueness and unconventionality of the conceptual idea of the architect of the project.
Painting canvases give the room a modern style and up-to-date character. Of particular interest and heightened attention is a huge picture of an elephant hanging over the staircase.
A handsome, columned floor lamp offers a comfortable setting for reading or pondering.
The high window blocks offer a magnificent scenic view of the surrounding landscape and the luxuriant crown of the green trees. They also fill the space with an incredible glow in the daytime.
The sophisticated and refined bedroom is joined to the bathroom by a low partition behind the headboard. Both areas are differentiated by different decoration of the walls and floor surface.
The shower cubicle is divided from the bathroom by glass walls which do not overload the space and give it great volume and lightness. Taking a dip in the water allows you to contemplate the picturesque view from the gorgeous panoramic window.
Below you can see the detailed plan of the first and second floor of the apartment, with the arrangement of furniture and technical equipment.
The following two photos show a schematic drawing of the appearance of the structure in front and rear projection.
