All surrounding houses have brick masonry and sloping ceramic tile roofs. There are distinctive features in these structures, too: a special kind of chimney, draperies, wooden shutters, niches and other subtle accents. The bright, unusual nature of the house was achieved with skillful work with all these nuances of construction. The mansion is an integral part of the landscaping in shape, spatial solution and construction tools used in the case. It consists practically of one kind of material ā brick! Its elongated form is very different from what we are accustomed to and thus connects the structure with the rural character of the environment even more.
The house looks like itās a monolithic sculpture, as both the buildingās faƧade and roof are made of the same type of finishing material. The brick for this project was specially ordered from Danish manufacturer Peterson. And every fragment of the structure is the fruit of handiwork. Pipes, lintels, window sills ā all made from the same kind of stone material. Windows neatly carved into the buildingās monolith.
In general, this unusual building has two floors, but partially looks like a single-storey. The architectās clever solution has allowed us to highlight an important feature ā the house on one side blends well with the neighboring, two-storied buildings and, at the same time, its lower part blends harmoniously into the landscape. The L-shape of the mansion makes the terrace and garden part of the living space. Lots of space in the center of the dwelling, with an open staircase connecting the two floors. Additional windows provide breathtaking views from the window and allow natural light to penetrate all corners of the house. Modern interior design It cooperates perfectly with the surrounding greenery and the outbuildings which, you guessed it, are also made of brick.
This might sound like a strange combination, but Iām curious to know: How successful is the integration of a brick rustic house into a modern style?
What are some of the key design elements that blend the rustic charm of brick with the sleekness of modern style in a brick rustic house?
