Construction begins with… the roof! Unusual suspended architecture House H in Chiba by Hiroyuki Shinozaki Architects

House H is a unique suspended architecture house designed by Hiroyuki Shinozaki Architects in Chiba, Japan. This unconventional home begins its construction process with the construction of its roof, a lightweight wood frame held together by an intricate web of steel wires. The roof provides an optimal balance between structure and aesthetically pleasing use of materials while at the same time enabling the space to be filled with natural light and open up to its surrounding environment. With its innovative use of materials, its innovative roof structure, and its connection to the environment, House H is both a beautiful and functional architectural marvel.
