Greg Truen, Company partner, said: “This dwelling has a beautiful view, which was a very important consideration when choosing the site for the construction.”.
Visitors to Forum City It will be interesting to know that the main design idea was a huge residence on top of a cliff that blends seamlessly into the landscape. Transparent glass walls create a feeling of unity with nature. And in the ceiling there is a large triangular aperture allowing you to see the heavens. But direct sunlight doesn’t get in and heat the space.
The designers were serious about choosing materials for the building: concrete, glass, wood, and stone combine to magically “dissolve” the villa into the local landscape. Designed so that either side of the second floor has a view of the ocean. Greens from the street seem to permeate the space because of the transparent walls.
The bedrooms feature special bed alcoves that form very private and hidden sleeping spaces.
Water is a very important resource for this continent, so large cisterns were installed underground to collect rainfall. This minimized the Mansion’s dependence on the municipal water supply. The heat pump pump, which pumps water to heat the floors, needs far less energy than it normally takes to create a comfortable temperature in a room of this size. The entire concept for the landscaping of this dwelling applies the option of recycling resources.
