Porebski Architects' Block House is a minimalist architectural project situated in the popular Pearl Beach, New South Wales, Australia. By emphasizing vertical lines, horizontal massing, and a neutral colour palette, the home harmoniously blends into its natural surroundings. Building the cottage on the Pacific Ocean near the eucalyptus bushes was conceived to create a corner for serene time and solitude. The promontory on which the house stands has gentle slopes of sandstone and is bathed daily by powerful tidal waves. The landscape and climate influenced the shape and materials used to construct the building.

Two wide wings create the boundaries of a patio sheltered from harsh gusts of wind from the coast. The layout of the cottage is such that the gentle Australian sun penetrates into all its corners, filling the rooms with light and warmth. The convenient L-shaped shape of the building allows you to freely move in and out of all rooms of the mansion.
