Privacy and openness – defining characteristics of the Z House by Bruce Stafford Architects in Bellevue Hill, Sydney

The Z House by Bruce Stafford Architects in Bellevue Hill, Sydney, is a one-of-a-kind new residence that brings together two seemingly competing design elements – privacy and openness. The innovative design includes generous outdoor areas where the occupants can enjoy privacy as well as ample natural light. The two new interlocking pavilions are connected by a floating bridge and the roofs’ skylights create an interesting illusion of continuous space. The Z House also offers unique views of the harbour and city scape from the outdoor terraces and benefits from sustainable operations thanks to its selection of building materials, efficient insulation techniques and a green roof.
