Spacious and cozy Hampstead House

The architectural style is impossible to define unequivocally. The roof has Gothic features. The addition, decorated in contrast to the main color, is more reminiscent of the Eclecticism trend.

And the canopy over the front door and the entire asymmetrical layout is taken from Art Nouveau. And it looks as modern as it did 100 years ago. Only the antennas attached to the chimney tell you that the photo was not taken that long ago.

England is famous for its lawns. Look how evenly the bushes are trimmed, the balls are regular in shape. The gardener knows his business.

A colorful patchwork rug. It’s made up of diamond-shaped and triangular panels, whose colors echo those of fallen leaves, shriveled grass and cold skies.

The dining room is in the same room. But it’s separated visually. This is a row of pictures near the door, and the space in front of the door. The oversized dining table and chairs are rounded, shaped, no sharp corners like kitchen furniture. So it gives the impression of different decoration and separate rooms.

Corridor and upstairs staircase. The room is lit by glass in the upper part of the front door and the side window. The muted white of the walls is set off by the gray tones of the carpeting on the steps and the coloring of the banister.

A child’s bicycle is lonely and bored. They don’t take him upstairs. All the family activities take place on the first floor.
