Can you provide more details about the Freshwater Semi living space extension project by David Boyle Architect in Sydney? What are the key features and design elements that set it apart?
What inspired you to create the Freshwater Semi living space extension project? How did you integrate the concept of bringing nature into urban spaces?
The inspiration behind the Freshwater Semi living space extension project was to address the lack of green spaces in urban environments and create a harmonious balance between nature and city life. I was driven by the idea of bringing the calming and rejuvenating effects of nature into urban spaces to improve overall well-being and quality of life for city dwellers.
To integrate the concept of bringing nature into urban spaces, I incorporated elements such as rooftop gardens, vertical green walls, and water features into the design. These elements not only add aesthetic appeal but also help to purify the air, reduce urban heat island effect, and promote biodiversity. By creating a seamless transition between the indoors and outdoors, the Freshwater Semi living space extension project encourages residents to connect with nature and experience its benefits without having to leave the city.
