Blaze Makoid Architecture’s impressive Daniel’s Lane private residence on the eastern shore of Long Island, New York, NY, USA

Thus, this project was created as one of the first in a similar area after local regulations were revised regarding the minimum first floor elevation, which was raised to 5 meters above sea level.The house itself is open to the ocean as much as possible and reflects a timeless, international architecture that takes into account the major climatic and vistas of the area. The simple geometric design consists of two floors and is characterized by the continuous glazing with panoramic windows.

Two different front entrances are made with one highlighting staircase feature, giving the impression that it hangs above the ground. An interesting idea for the design of the house was to project a considerable distance from the roof, creating a natural canopy that partially protects the terrace from the sun and rain. One plane wall with extensive glazing is framed by large-scale wood panels, made of the same material as the staircase. The layout of the house is quite classical.
