Colonial-style home where vintage is a cult

This one-of-a-kind Colonial style home is a perfect blend of classic and modern. Its unique interior design is reminiscent of a bygone era yet provides all the comforts of modern living. The signature characteristic of this home is the vintage cult, with features such as wooden frames, traditional carpentry, and detailed stonework. Additionally, the spacious rooms, ample natural lighting, and professionally landscaped outdoor area provide a peaceful and inviting living experience. This home is the perfect way to combine old-world charm with modern convenience.
Decorating the patio

The fireplace in the interior is an indispensable attribute of the colonial style. The homeowners weren’t happy with its dark brown shell. We had to replace the tiles with something they liked.

Decorations on the mantelpiece

A large art deco radio is an amazing piece, bought from the estate of the American comedian John Candy, popular in the 1980s. The couple agreed with the designer, who suggested putting the unit in a separate room with a collection of other vintage items.

The designer divided the large living room with a black grand piano into separate corners for relaxation. Cats don’t like art deco leather chairs. The Doberman who sits at the doorstep may have a very different opinion.

After visiting Cuba and Southeast Asia, the owners brought home an air of the exotic. The wicker armchairs with colorful upholstery, the embroidered window drapery ribbons, the blue shagreen table exude it.

Vintage accessories in the interior

Cats scratching the furniture, causing problems. For those corners that could be scratched, the wallpaperer came up with special coatings, such as the one on the right in this photo.

Tip: Don’t throw away damaged rugs. They can be used to sew soft cushions for chairs and sofa. Their ornamental designs enliven the overall color scheme in the room.

On the list, the bathroom was the first coveted object. Where the shelf is now, there used to be a hallway entrance. The bathroom remodel didn’t do without removing the door because of spatial problems. And the long, wide bathtub matches the overall style.

A vintage Moroccan-style table

Tip: The plumbing can be built into the 5 cm protruding part of the wall covered with tiles. Its beautiful pattern combines all the shower fixtures into one.
