The main idea of the project was to transform the interior space of an old mill into a modern and comfortable interior, preserving its historical image. The rugged stone walls of the building have been reinforced and carefully restored, while its interior is clad in a warm wood enclosure with a series of skylights.
Pine board and polished concrete were chosen as flooring materials, and the room walls were clad with solid pine construction plywood.

One half of the ground floor is an open-plan living room with kitchen and dining area, while the other half has two charming bedrooms overlooking the courtyard. Twin staircases connect the lower level with the upper level where three more bedrooms, baths, family room and a small fireplace section are arranged. All of these amenities make the house a truly ideal retreat, extolling the virtues of reuse.
