The industrial design concept was brought to life by Planet Studio. The main goals pursued by the developers is the reuse of building materials and rational use of available space.
The clients purchased several properties, and after much discussion, one of them was chosen for renovation. Now this industrial structure has become a cozy home with an unconventional interior.
Wooden beams and rough-hewn wood trusses give it a rustic casual feel. The lower level houses the living room, kitchen and dining area. On the second floor are the bedrooms and the children’s rooms.
There are several courtyards beside the renovated building, and they have blended seamlessly into the local landscape. During the work, the builders discovered an underground spring, which was later turned into a beautiful fountain. This was the centerpiece of the Mediterranean-style garden.
In a way, this converted factory was the bridge that connected modern active life and the charm of suburban Europe.
Wow, that sounds amazing! I’m wondering, what specific design elements did Planet Studio incorporate in the transformation of the paper mill into a modern loft?
