Comfortable housing for the homeless in a billboard, a social project by Slovak architects

As concern for social issues has long been part of everyone’s life, our readers will be interested to see an unusual project from a group of designers HomelessInnovative, located in Slovakia. They made sketches in electronic form and showed how to make a triangular billboard into social housing for a homeless person.

The architects were able to fit a bedroom with a bed and a little storage underneath, a kitchen, a tiny living room and even a tiny bathroom in this space. Everything is so well thought out that the interior of a small apartment is more than worthy. Finishing with light and natural wood tones to visually expand the space and make it cozy.

Serviced by a small utility hook-up, it requires very little maintenance. The costs can be paid from the money paid by the advertisers for placing information on the billboards. The whole project is based on the reality of life in Slovakia, but it can also be adapted to other countries.

This innovative social project by Slovak architects is truly inspiring. Providing comfortable housing for the homeless through billboards is a unique approach to address the pressing issue of homelessness. I wonder how effective this solution has been in providing long-term support to these individuals? Are there any plans to expand this project to other cities or countries?
