You'd think old Germany would have something to offer us? But this country always has an ace up its sleeve and is ready to please its tourists with unusual buildings and novelties. This time our Captivating portal will tell you about a stunning project by the talented architects of Herzor& De Meuron – the fantastic Vitra House headquarters.

This project is the next brainchild of the talented duo, who are famous for such large-scale, architectural projects as Zaha Hadid's fire station, Tadao Ando's conference pavilion, Ciza Alvaro's factory and the Eagle's Nest stadium at the Beijing Olympics.
Vitra – is a modern interpretation of a residential building with an unusual design. It is a construction of several living modules connected in a chaotic order.
Each cabin has a glazed wall that provides a magnificent view of the surrounding Weil-on-Rhine area. Inside, all parts are connected by a whimsical spiral staircase, and the interiors are striking with intriguing decor and beautiful lighting.
The eccentric design and intricate architectural intent have made this home one of the city's most popular attractions.

What, in your opinion, makes the Vitra house so stunning and why is it considered a veritable architectural gallery?
