The Scandinavian minimalism of the unpretentious Viking residence Villa Wallin

This original project is designed in a strictly proportional ratio of 1:3. It measures eighteen meters in length, six meters in width and six meters in height. There is also a clear regularity in the façade windows: they are all the same size and square.

The residence is situated on natural ground, surrounded by orchard conifers, much of which have been retained during the construction of the cottage.

It may make our readers smile, but remember the difference between a harsh winter in Russia and a mild Swedish one.

The house is covered with horizontal pine panelling painted black by Falu Rödfärg, a traditional Swedish paint used since the 16th century, when the roofs were covered with pitch. The dark facade on the outside contrasts with the snow-white decoration everywhere inside.
