Once again, welcome to our Forum City. Today we will go to Canada, in order to appreciate another creation of human imagination with an unusual construction and interior design. It’s really something to behold – this house feels like it’s sliding down a mountain. All the more reason to visit – what’s inside and how it all works. The dwelling was designed and built by very creative people. Located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
From the outside, it looks like a huge block. It lives up to its name Sliding House(Sliding home). The large windows along the perimeter offer a magnificent view of the river and the forest from every point of the dwelling, exciting and mesmerizing. Of course, everything is arranged inside in such a way that a person in the house forgets about the fact that there is a slope under the construction – here everything is done as in an ordinary cottage: flat floor, firmly installed furniture.
The house itself spreads a lot of sunlight through the huge windows. At the expense of them, each corner is filled with rays of natural light, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere inside. The living room overlooks the nearby hills. Also, from this corner of the room doors to the balcony, where you can comfortably sit on wooden chairs and allow yourself to enjoy the view and warm rays of sunlight, plunging into relaxation and reverie.
The guest bedroom is done in light, orange tones. A pair of twin beds is complemented by a few very simple-looking lamps, which give the room a honey-coloured touch in the evening.
The work space, like the rest of the house, is minimalist. The finishing materials are natural, environmentally friendly. This is why the house is considered a prime example of projects called eco-friendly.
Considering the material used for the building’s interior, every room has a fire alarm and a fire extinguishing system.
