The three-story building measures 8 m wide and 28 m long with 380 sq. m has been renovated and turned into the second homestead of the Sahawat family. Construction began in December 2011 and ended the following April.
The long-awaited baby was 2 years old at the time. Sittawat and Nipapat – brother and sister – love the toy bears manufactured by Japan’s Medicom Toy Incorporated. They are made in a simplified form with a thick belly and consist of 9 parts: head, which they can turn, torso, hips, arms and legs. They also have flexible joints.
Many artists worked on the ornamentation. Even the big names like Vivian Westwood and Stash, who are considered New York legends of graffiti art. The centerpiece of the collection is a BAPE in camouflage colors and 28 cm in height, while the factory size is only 7 cm. That’s how you get 400%!
The design process doesn’t start with the house itself. It consists of seventeen slouches. They are everywhere: in the dining room, hallway, living room. Steps, stairs and voids match the chosen scale. And the centerpiece is the home office. It is finished in light oak like the other main surfaces.
Walking up, you get into the space with wide and narrow beds, you see the hall. And on the opposite side are rooms with sea views. In the master bedroom, there is a huge custom-made 70 cm tall bear in a military color.
There’s a pool at the front of the house. It’s all painted by young Thai artists, well known as MMFK and P7. Their work includes a one-eyed monster dressed as a sailor, a blue bear and other illustrations.
