Whatever associations one might have with the name, it’s actually quite a large and very nicely furnished house. It breathes elegance and naturalness in all the furnishings, and Tracy Hardenberg’s choice of pastel shades for every room can’t leave a modern person indifferent
The grandiose room set aside for the living room, kitchen and dining room, as if flooded with beige paint. Dark beams, going first vertically and then obliquely below the ceiling, accentuate the creamy tenderness of all surfaces. Even the tfurniture upholstery canyon has an amazing tone, and the floors and desks are a bit darker and made of natural wood.
The rooms are actively used natural materials. For example, the rugs are sewn from rags or woven from plant fibers, flowers and trees stand in large baskets, and some of the walls are made of untreated brick. In these features one can guess the craving for naturalism, closeness to nature
Several rooms also use richer colors: blue, orange, dark brown, they enliven the base and make the character of the house special. The furniture was also chosen with the main idea in mind – it is practical, extremely beautiful and very functional.
Can you provide more details about the unique interior features of the country house in Possum Kingdom? I’m curious to know which natural materials were used and how they were incorporated into the design.
