Head Road 1815 is a project created by SAOTA. Located in Fresnaye, a suburb of Cape Town, South Africa. The house sits on a hilltop overlooking a stunning ocean view.
The clients – a young couple – dreamed of a dynamic and vibrant apartment, made primarily for living, with a separate area dedicated to receiving guests. The building is oriented north and west with views of the neighborhood, which can also be seen from the back of the lot. Due to the height of the road and the slope of the hill, the structure is above the ground and had to be built on tall pillars.
Visitors to the trendy Forum City will also be interested in the interior furnishings of the mansion. It has three floors, each with a bathroom. Guest suites are downstairs, along with a green area and staff quarters. There’s a spacious living room and dining room with views of the indoor and outdoor pool deck.
The kitchen is positioned so it’s easy to enjoy the views through the glass roof. The entryway is just steps away from Head Road. It is preceded by a lobby that is also equipped with a transparent top. The second floor accommodates a bedroom, walk-in closet and light-filled bathroom.
Of the features of the interior can be noted imported German kitchen unit, granite floor and wall tiles used throughout, frameless balustrades and floor-to-ceiling windows.
