Eltham South Mansion is a private residence designed and developed by the renowned decorating studio Wolveridge Architects. It sits on an open green space surrounded by lush plants and shrubs in Victoria, Australia. The street side facade is covered with concrete slabs and glossy black panels, which creates special privacy and decorates the exterior of the building and the landscape perfectly.
The open part of the building comes out into the patio, which organically blends in with the amazing landscape and harmoniously combines the interior with the garden area. The splendid green lawn is interspersed with a wooden deck with a pergola canopy, forming an incredible sense of light and shadow play in the decoration.
The entrance to the country mansion is placed to the side of the structure. It is accented by concrete pedestals arranged in a row, visually separating the interior garden from this walkway. Visitors are greeted by a simple, unpretentious entrance hall, similar in style to the rest of the unusual house.
The summer veranda forms an incredible and pleasant feeling to enjoy while lounging on small benches or comfortable chaise lounges. The floor surface is lined with a deck board, which due to its hue blends perfectly with the overall decoration.
The sun porch is integrated with the open-plan guest salon with sliding doors. A lounge chair with a bright pouffe for relaxing and a dining table for outdoor summer meals are located on the grounds. The unusual timber clad walls make it possible to zone the space as well as to shape the structure’s exceptional appearance.
The kitchen area is located in a small alcove in the space. It is made in an unusual and original way. A minimalist furniture unit with all the necessary appliances is nestled away, and a spacious island allows you to fit a lot of dishes and cutlery. Decorating the kitchen apron with mirrors allows you to increase the area of the apartment, as well as give it freedom and volume.
