Unusual Japanese maple house in Fitzroy, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia by designer Andrew Maynardan
This Japanese-inspired house in Fitzroy, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia, designed by Andrew Maynard in 2016, is an impressive display of modern architecture. The building features a unique console-style house made of Japanese maple wood with a contemporary, minimalist look. This two-storey house offers an open, airy atmosphere with plenty of natural light and ventilation, that's accompanied by a landscaped garden with a pergola. The house is composed of both western and Japanese elements, including the use of natural materials and its distinct modern aesthetic. It is a perfect amalgamation of East and West, offering a balance between modernity and tradition.
Andrew’s projects, one of which can be seen on Forum City today, are unusual for living space and decorated stylishly and tastefully. In his creations, he uses not only a variety of materials, but also the youthful energy of his inventive mind to come up with and implement the most stunning and original ideas for greater customer comfort.
Architectural team Andrew Maynardan , Responsible for the project, showed the utmost attention to important details. So, through the Japanese maple there is a parallel between the environment and the level interior space. Glass panels were added to replace some of the walls, giving the residents the opportunity to admire their special tree more often.
