Oddly enough, the SOD project comes from experiments by the U.S. National Space Administration (NASA), where spiders were exposed to different chemicals. The experts analyzed the web woven by the arthropods in question.
During the experiment, spiders were fed chemicals like marijuana, amphetamine, caffeine and chloral hydrate. The consequences of insect behavior under the influence of psychotropic drugs are captured in their own beautiful designer décor items.
Metalware is an interweaving of spider trajectories. One bowl replicates a normal spider web, consisting of concentric circles connected by frequent radial threads. The other – shows the result of the spider’s “high” behavior. A spider web woven under the influence of marijuana turns out to be unfinished all the way through, with its center shifted to the side.
The psychostimulant amphetamine made the spider move excitedly due to strong emotions, but he “forgot” to weave some fragments of the web. The caffeine completely disrupted the arthropod’s activity and made it move chaotically, creating a messy web pattern.
Chloral hydrate, which is known as a sedative, so slowed down an eight-legged designer that, weaving a web under the influence of sleeping pills, he gradually fell asleep slowly and left the net unfinished as a result.
What is the purpose or significance of NASA-led design spiders? How do they relate to stoned arthropods on flamboyant tableware?
