This Malaysian mansion was specially created from an old building for an English family with a child. Since, unfortunately, the clients did not have the necessary financial resources, and there was still a lot of work to be done on the renovation and reconstruction, it was decided to reduce the cost of redevelopment as much as possible.

Achieved this by using almost everything old, including materials, often played up the old furnishings and even brick or ruined walls, so it turned out organically and relatively inexpensive.

The house was zoned into rear separate bedrooms, with access to the backyard and a fully insulated attic with an individual entrance, as the owners planned to rent out rooms in the house. Even the pool was not tiled, leaving only a cement finish.

This unique low-budget residential remodeling project was distinctive because of its focus on utilizing cost-effective materials and innovative design techniques to achieve impressive results within a limited budget. One key aspect that made it stand out was the use of repurposed and salvaged materials, such as reclaimed wood and recycled fixtures, which added character and charm to the space while also being budget-friendly.

Additionally, the project employed creative solutions such as open shelving and multi-functional furniture to maximize space and functionality without breaking the bank. Smart design choices, like utilizing natural light and strategic placement of mirrors, helped to make the rooms feel larger and more inviting.
