Welcome to Forum City, dear readers! Today I propose to discuss an airy and graceful masterpiece of minimalism, built on the banks of the Bodensee in Bregenz, Austria.
Because of the fairly steep incline of the building, two of its four levels are cut into the hillside. For visitors arriving by car or bicycle, there is an easy access, just below the road, which gives access to a spacious multipurpose room. The elevator access is also available on this floor, which means that the house is somewhat barrier-free. For those who move on foot, there are stairs on the north side.
The annex to the house has been furnished in such a way that it can be used in many different ways, for example as an office or as a cafeteria A place to sleep and rest, Where you can relax, work out on the machines or sit in the sauna.
This building with its particular combination of distinctive style and wit seems detached from what’s happening outside, yet at the same time subtly and deliberately interacts with the natural environment.
