Cabin in Steamboat Springs
For this, she used a soothing palette of cream hues and lots of fabric draperies, with which she gently decorated the walls. Lisa later added decorations and furnishings to make the huge house more comfortable and cosy to live in. Working closely with and getting to know her clients, she also added some unexpected details that were to the owners’ liking.

The Italian light fixture was one of the very first things the clients picked out on their own. It immediately set the tone for the entire interior. Large and graceful, it adds a unique texture, matches the scale of the room and helps to visually separate the corner with the fireplace from the common living room.
Expansive windows offer a view over rolling, pine-forested hills. In houses like this one, you can arrange two rooms for relaxation – for receiving guests and the fireplace room, – and furnish each of them with stylish furniture. In front of the windows, on a sheepskin rug, comfortable antique chairs swivel around their axis, creating a cozy setting.

The fireplace nook, for all its isolation, is part of the larger living room. The unity of the color scheme emphasizes the integrity of the interior. The fireplace here serves not only a decorative but also a practical function, being a small partition on the way to the kitchen. The predominantly grey color scheme has a calming effect and gives the interior a modern look. Also this color perfectly neutralizes too bright colors.
The mix of textures – patchwork carpet, tweed upholstery on sofa and chairs, faux leather and sheepskin on the stool, textured lacquer on the coffee table, leather console table – is eclectic and very warm. Despite this variety, the design looks very organic.

The modern kitchen design looks incredibly stylish and even somewhat futuristic. Neutral colors set off the brilliance of ultra-modern appliances, glass tiles of the apron subtly echo elegant pendant fixtures, and classic furniture brings harmony into the interior.
An arched island divides the kitchen into two halves. Its base is covered in textured vinyl wallpaper, and the marble surface is burnished to a high gloss. Complement the furnishings comfortable bar stools with upholstered seats and a steel frame.
